Pace University - Success Story
Heloooo! My name is Mark Kazinec and I am currently an honors senior graduating in May with a degree in Marketing. I am very proud of the accomplishments I have made throughout my academic career, and I owe a lot to my school, Pace University.
When I first stepped foot onto campus, I knew I had to turn up the dial from high school. I immediately joined the Pace University Marketing Association as a general member, worked my up to VP of Advertising and Communications, and then even further to Vice President. My experience with this organization gave me the courage to lead a team and also helped me define what fields of marketing I am interested in.
I then left this organization and headed off to study abroad in London, England. While overseas, I gained an even deeper understanding of who I am and what I really wanted to do with my marketing degree.
Upon my return to the United States, I joined the Association of Latino Professionals in Finance and Accounting. Through this organization, I was able to make connections with the marketing departments of some of the largest finance and accounting firms in the world. It also gave me a great sense of familia and the connection to my Cuban roots!
Recently, I have been devoting most of my time to the Advertising Team which is advised by two of the most amazing and influential professors of the Lubin School of Business, Dr. Larry Chiagouris and Prof. Conrad Nankin. These professors have given me a world of support and guidance as they have turned me from a student into a professional. They have truly inspired me to go beyond my expectations.
After 4 years of part-time jobs, internships at leading companies, executive board positions on student organizations, and a full load of classes – all while maintaining a GPA above 3.5 in the Honors College – my hard work has finally paid off... I have recently been offered an amazing position at a leading media and marketing company, News America Marketing!
I am very satisfied with my success up to this point and I owe most of it to the professors, faculty, and community at Pace University. I truly feel that I have worked towards greatness, and achieved it.
