A New York Citi Success
Vice President of Digital Strategy at Citi Kevin Brown, EMBA ’11, was looking for a graduate program that was innovative and flexible, would help him be successful at work, and give him a global perspective that he could bring to his organization.
“I looked at big business schools: NYU, Columbia, Fordham, Baruch, Pace,” Brown says, “and I did strongly feel that Pace’s offering was an ideal situation.”
Designed for busy professionals looking to take their careers to the next level, Pace’s EMBA Program proved a good fit for Brown, who was interested in both Pace’s international programs as well as gaining crucial knowledge in strategy and finance.
“I aspire to hold larger roles in business, running a group, a division, and eventually a company,” says Brown. “The Pace MBA has helped and will continue to help achieve those goals. The EMBA’s significant emphasis on instilling a disciplined approach to management, both operationally and strategically, has greatly enhanced my skill set,” says Brown who is now a Vice President of Global Mobile Solutions at Citi.
Brown also notes that his classmates in the EMBA program were an added bonus to the experience—providing unique insight into current topics and course materials—as was the flexibility the program offered. “One key advantage of the program is that it’s structured and self-directed, so it’s the responsibility of the student to manage their time,” Brown adds. “I’ve been able to be successful at work and successful in the classroom.”
