Graduate Application Process

Please note the Check List below which outlines documents required to complete an application for graduate admission. You may choose to have your official documents sent to a Pace University Office of Graduate Admission either before or after you have submitted your application.

DYSON COLLEGE OF ARTS & SCIENCES Applicants to Pace University graduate degree and certificate programs must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university if postsecondary education was completed in the United States. Applicants who are currently in their senior year at an undergraduate institution may apply for admission, but acceptance can be made only contingent upon receipt of a final transcript indicating all senior year grades and receipt of the bachelor's degree. Applicants who have attended institutions outside of the U.S. must hold a degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree. The application must include:
1. Application, Fee, and Resume: A complete application, accompanied by a non-refundable $65 application fee in the form of check or money order, payable to Pace University. A resume or typewritten outline, describing at least the past five years of your employment history and significant community, professional, or college extracurricular activities, should be sent. Please include recognitions of achievement you have received (e.g. licenses, publications, and awards). Note: Actors Studio MFA applicants should submit an artistic resume and head shot (for actors), or portfolio (for directors), or writing samples (for playwrights).
2. Personal statement: Send a typewritten essay explaining to the members of the Graduate Admission Committee why you would like to pursue the program of graduate study you have chosen. Additional information regarding your academic performance, as well as professional experience, may also be included in the supplement.
3. Letters of recommendation: Two recommendations from individuals who can knowledgeably comment on your ability to successfully complete graduate study are required. These references may be academic or professional, and must be forwarded in sealed envelopes. Note: Applicants to the MSEd and PsyD must submit three letters of recommendation. Applicants to the Actors Studio MFA must submit one academic and one professional recommendation.
4. Official transcripts: Transcripts must be sent either to Pace University, directly from the academic institution, or forwarded by the applicant in sealed envelopes from the academic institution.
5. GRE: The general GRE no older than five years is required for the MS in Publishing and MA in Psychology programs. The Psychology subject test, in addition to the general test, is required of applicants to the MSEd and PsyD. The ETS reporting code for Pace University, NYC is 2635 or for Westchester, 2644. 6. TOEFL/IELTS: If you earned a bachelor's degree in a country where English is not the official language and English is not your first language, you must submit a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score that is no more than two years old. Normally, a TOEFL score of 570 (paper-based version), 230 (computer-based version), or 88/89 (Internet-based version), or an IELTS score of 6.0 is sufficient to demonstrate the requisite proficiency in English for admission directly into Pace University's academic programs.
The Admission Committee may, however, require additional testing if, for example, as a result of materials submitted as part of your application or communications with you there are concerns about your ability to read, write, and speak English sufficiently to meet the demands of you intended curriculum. In that case, or if your TOEFL or IELTS score is below the guideline stated above, your admission will be conditioned upon your successful completiong of an intensive English-language program at the Pace University English Language Institute (ELI) or a similar program approved by Pace University's ELI.

LUBIN SCHOOL OF BUSINESS Applicants to Pace University graduate degree and certificate programs must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university if postsecondary education was completed in the United States. Applicants who are currently in their senior year at an undergraduate institution may apply for admission, but acceptance can be made only contingent upon receipt of a final transcript indicating all senior year grades and receipt of the bachelor's degree. Applicants who have attended institutions outside of the U.S. must hold a degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree. The application must include:

GMAT: A GMAT score report, no older than five years, is required of all applicants to a graduate program, with the exception of the Advanced Graduate Certification program unless a waiver is granted by the Lubin Admission Committee. Additional information regarding your academic performance, as well as professional experience, may also be included in the supplement.
3. Personal statement, DPS applicants: Please address your most significant professional contributions to date, and the impact of that work.
4. Letters of recommendation: Two recommendations from individuals who can knowledgeably comment on your ability to successfully complete graduate study are required. These references may be academic or professional, and must be forwarded in sealed envelopes. Note: DPS applicants should submit one of the recommendations from a current supervisor.
5. Official transcripts: Transcripts must be sent either to Pace University, directly from the academic institution, or forwarded by the applicant in sealed envelopes from the academic institution.
5. GRE: The GRE general test, no older than five years, is required only for those applying for the DPS, the Bridge Program for International Students, or a graduate assistantship. INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS All international applicants to Pace University's graduate programs are required to complete all steps for the Pace school or college to which they are applying. They must, in addition, follow specific guidelines for international students.
