The MS in Physician Assistant Studies Completion program is an innovative online program open to PAs who are National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certified, with a bachelor’s degree. The Physician Assistant Education Association (PAEA) has endorsed the master’s degree as both the entry-level and terminal degree of the profession.

  • Courses are online, so you can keep your current job while building upon your professional qualifications and resume.
  • Designed for PAs who want to advance to a lead or chief PA position, move into management, or teach.

Prerequisites

The Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies Completion Program consists of 30 credits, which includes four courses (12 credits) of study in a distance-learning format. Prospective applicants will be awarded 18 advanced standing credits (200 hours=1 credit) for 3,600 hours post-baccalaureate clinical experience with attestation of clinical competency.  The program and distribution of credits and courses by term is depicted in the diagram below:
