Communication Sciences and Disorders, BA

Our BA in Communication Sciences and Disorders is a pre-professional program that will prepare you for a variety of career opportunities.

Speech-language pathologists treat such disorders as stuttering, delayed language development, aphasia, and voice and articulation problems. Audiologists specialize in hearing conservation, identification, assessment, and habilitation of hearing disorders. Upon graduation, you will be qualified to pursue a career in speech-language pathology and audiology in hospitals, schools, community agencies, private practice, and research. This program also provides a strong foundation for a master’s degree in either field.

Our graduates have gone on to successful careers at Riverview Medical Center, NJ, The Therapy Corner of Brooklyn, and rewarding work as bilingual evaluators for pre-school children with speech and language disabilities and teachers. Many continue study in doctoral audiology programs.
