Add Opportunities and Experiences

Your Lubin BBA in Information Systems will give you the technical expertise necessary for success in a variety of positions. You will take courses from both the Lubin School of Business and the Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems, one of the first comprehensive computing schools in the country. Through this unique interdisciplinary model, you will garner a deeper understanding of business telecommunications, information systems principles, and project management. Coursework includes an abundance of opportunities for hands-on experience with some of the world's most respected corporations and organizations.

The curriculum includes systems and database management lessons that will provide skills to support the strategic goals of an organization, including system development, project management, and cost/benefit analysis. Students also learn essential business management skills in finance, accounting, marketing, business law, organizational development, statistics, and strategy. You will acquire fluency with global data communication as you learn about hardware, basic communications components, configurations, protocols, software, and networks and applications. Core business principles, new and emerging technologies, a global perspective of information technology, and the economic, social, and ethical implications of data communications make our graduates well-prepared for the complex challenges of international business communications.

"I've seen the transformation of the whole industry from IBM to Apple and Google. We're just on the cusp of what's coming—things like wireless electricity... Students have the view that their first job is also their last job. I tell them that their first job is their first job, and that they'll probably have a dozen jobs over the course of their career. Don't fall in love with your first job; you may miss out on great opportunities." —David Berry '82, Founder and CEO, Valo Health
