Placement Testing Information

In order to ensure that students transferring to Pace University begin their coursework at the appropriate level, we administer online placement tests in writing, math, and certain modern languages.

If you are required to take a placement test, you will receive a letter from the Office of Undergraduate Admission. Please visit the Center for Academic Excellence Placement Testing web page to learn more about placement testing.

After You Have Registered For Orientation

  • Submit your photo for your Pace ID card by Thursday, June 1, 2017.
  • Access your Pace e-mail account and check it regularly.
  • Complete Consent & Respect and Alcohol Wise prior to coming to Orientation (more information coming this summer to your Pace e-mail).

What To Expect at Orientation

Orientation is designed to give you an introduction to the University and prepare you for your first semester of classes. You will have the opportunity to meet future classmates and an advisor, register for courses at Orientation, and learn about campus life, internship opportunities, study abroad, and more!

Family Orientation

Families are invited to join in on the fun of Orientation, meet members of the Pace Community, explore the campus and surrounding area, and learn more about how to support your student on the Pace Path.

Families and guests wishing to attend should be included when the student registers for Orientation online.

Mandatory Immigration Session for F-1 Visa Holders

Regardless of which Orientation session you attend, all undergraduate international students on an F-1 visa who are first-time students at Pace must also attend the mandatory immigration session on August 31, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Check-in at 8:00 a.m. in One Pace Plaza, enter at 9 Spruce Street.

This session will focus on immigration regulations pertaining to international students on F-1 visa, visa applicable benefits and restrictions. After the session, new international students will join other first-year students for first-year student Orientation.
