Academics: Building a Stronger Living and Learning Experience

A major component of this initiative is consolidating our Briarcliff campus to Pleasantville to build a stronger residential campus community. This will provide a more traditional living and learning environment for our undergraduate students. The plans will double the number of students living on campus to 1,400.

  • Construction of 3 new four-story residence halls
  • Replacement of 3 townhouse-style residence halls
  • Expansion of the Kessel Student Center and an additional dining hall
  • Major renovations to the existing residence Martin Hall

Crucial to this effort is the creation of new living-learning communities that brings students together with the same academic or student interests. The cornerstone of this plan for each residence hall will include a first-floor classroom and meeting space, a faculty apartment, and modern study spaces on each floor.
