Dr. Adelia Williams's Biography
Associate Provost for Academic Affairs
Dr. Adelia Williams is Associate Provost for Academic Affairs and Professor of Modern Languages and Cultures. She holds a PhD from the CUNY Graduate Center in French Literature. She has been at Pace University since 1989, serving as Chairperson of the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures for eight years, and as Associate Dean in the Dyson College of Arts and Sciences from 2000 to 2013. She teaches courses in French, Italian, and Interdisciplinary Humanities both online and in the classroom, as well as international travel courses. Her research interests are in cross-disciplinary topics in nineteenth- and twentieth-century French and Italian studies, and in current issues in higher education in the United States.
