This past year, Pace students majoring in general and public accounting, English, film and screen studies, finance, and marketing were selected to intern with NYSE Euronext.
Vincent Perrone ’11, who earned a dual degree in Marketing Management and Financial Management, wanted to oversee marketing for financial products and services. Through his internship with the New York Stock Exchange, he gained the experience he needed and a full-time job as an analyst for NYSE Euronext. He is also inspiring the next generation of business leaders, having led tours of the NYSE for Pace students. He says, “My degree prepared me for my current role at the NYSE and laid the foundation for my continued professional development. Pace professors create a learning environment that is comparable to what you will experience after graduation and conducive to the way professionals think and practice on the job.”
In addition, students in Pace’s Executive MBA program gain hands-on experience working to solve real-world business problems and present to industry experts. "Pace Executive MBA students brought an impressive degree of professionalism, knowledge, and strategic insight to our project. They clearly articulated a strategic plan to reposition our department, adding value to client companies and the Exchange. It was a winning partnership," says Thea Pagel, Managing Director Events Marketing, NYSE Euronext.
