Advising Center for Exploring Majors
The Advising Center for Exploring Majors, an advising unit of the Center for Academic Excellence, helps students explore all their options before choosing an academic direction. ACEM provides individualized counseling to guide students through all the steps associated with choosing a major. The goal of ACEM is to make sure students select a major that meshes well with who they are…their interests, skills, goals, personality, and values. Worksheets and information on every major are also available. ACEM also works individually with faculty who would like to discuss issues related to major selection.

The Counseling Center
Consultations to faculty, staff, students and concerned parents are a regular part of the services provided by the Counseling Center. If you are uncertain as to how to proceed, but are concerned about a student or situations, please contact the Counseling Center. A staff psychologist can assist you in determining the most appropriate course of action. Walk-In Clinic hours are available for telephone access to a staff psychologist. Telephone appointment availability may be limited and calls are taken on a first come, first served basis. Please let the receptionist know if you think the situation is an emergency requiring immediate attention. For information on referring a student to the Counseling Center, click here.
