Your Academic Adviser

A student’s Academic Adviser is their greatest resource during their first year.   Advisers will guide students through course registration, monitor their academic progress, discuss major and career options, and counsel them on the use of appropriate resources.  Your academic adviser is also your instructor for University 101 in the fall semester, so advisers meet with students weekly in class and are also available for individual advising sessions.  Advisers maintain an open-door policy to encourage students to ask questions, share concerns, and get advice.

We encourage you to get in touch with your adviser before classes begin. We can answer any questions you may have or provide you with any information you may need.
