  • Pace now offers an RN/BS degree completion program for RNs through iPace!  This is one of many ways the College of Health Professions is aligned with the IOM report on the future of nursing. Read more.
  • Joanne Singleton, PhD, RN, won the 2012 NY/NJ Nursing Excellence regional award in the Advancing and Leading the Profession category and will represent NY/NJ at the national Nursing Excellence Awards in the fall. Professor Singleton was honored at's recent gala and is featured in their June 18 article on awardees.
  • Sharon Wexler PhD, RN, BC, has been awarded the status of Fellow of the National Gerontological Nurses Association.  Fellow status recognizes outstanding leadership in gerontological nursing and distinguished contributions to the field.She will be inducted during the 2012 annual meeting in Baltimore in October. 
  • Renee McLeod-Sordjan, DNP, RN, has been recognized by AACN and the Johnson & Johnson Campaign for Nursing’s Future as a Minority Nurse Faculty Scholar.  This prestigious national scholarship program is designed to address the faculty shortage and enhance diversity among nurse educators.  It provides generous financial support, mentoring, and leadership development to graduate students from minority backgrounds who aspire to teach in our nation’s schools of nursing.  More information can be found here.
  • Forbes Magazine recently ranked the Masters in Physician Assistant Studies as the best master’s degree for jobs.  You can read more about it here.
  • Attention Nursing Alumni - Nursing alumni/ae can now apply for the Alexander Gralnick Research Award - for psychiatric and mental health nursing research and psychosocial research – (up to $5,000).  Applications are due October 15, 2012.  Nursing alumni can also apply now for the 2013 Dean’s Alumni/ae Award for Outstanding Professional Contribution.  This award recognizes a graduate of the Lienhard School of Nursing who has demonstrated outstanding contributions to the profession of nursing that reflect the values of Pace University and the Lienhard School of Nursing.  Candidates can self nominate or be nominated by someone else.  Click here for the application.
