Students Without Borders
Pace University's College of Health Professions provides excellent international opportunities for all its students, enabling them to gain new perspectives on healthcare. Recently, nursing students had the opportunity to study in the Netherlands; Physician Assistant students returned from international rotations in India and Ecuador. Read more
Lienhard alumnus Jeffrey Hewitt '81 died of a cardiac arrest on December 23, 2010 in Massachusetts at age 59. A double Pace alumnus, Hewitt was President of the Lienhard Advisory Board and a generous donor and advocate for the Lienhard School of Nursing. In June, Lienhard held a memorial service and tree planting ceremony, which was attended by many members of the Hewitt family.
Sharon Lewis, College of Health Professions' communication director, was fortunate enough to interview Hewitt for this newsletter before his sudden death.Read more
Nursing professor Elizabeth Berro, MA, RN, PNP, is piloting the use of iPads in the classroom. She says that in the near future, "The concept of the traditional classroom may lose its appeal and become extinct." So if a student can 'attend' lectures online, why come to class? Read more
