The Pace University Physician Assistant Studies Program- Pleasantville offers students from diverse backgrounds a rigorous course of study designed to prepare them for future roles as compassionate, ethical primary care providers in a wide variety of clinical settings. Building upon the core competencies of the physician assistant profession, this curriculum exposes students to an interdisciplinary didactic and clinical curriculum. Students learn the process of critical thinking, a skill fundamental to the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of illnesses.
This primary care program spans 27 months and includes 66 credits of didactic education and 36 credits of clinical education. The total program includes eight required clinical clerkships plus one elective. The program is 102 credits leading to a degree in Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. This first cohort of 30 students is scheduled to begin in September of 2017.
