  • Kathleen Roche MPA, RPA-C, FNP, Associate Clinical Professor and Director of the Physician Assistant Program, was recently recognized by PAEA (the Physician Assistant Education Association) for her excellence and mentorship. Read more.
     
  • Twelve exceptional FNP students are awardees of the 2013 HRSA ANEE stipend ($22,000 each).  Read more
     
  • Our fourth quarter pass rate for 2012 for first time test takers of the NCLEX-RN is 100%! Read more
     
  • Professor Joanne Singleton, PhD, RN, has been elected as the Co-Chair of the Nursing Academy of the National Academies of Practice. Read more

Amy Rajan graduated in 2009 from Lienhard School of Nursing at Pace University and founded a health initiative on Long Island called Get Ahead. Read more

During Hurricane Sandy, nurses were hailed as heroes.  Our own Lienhard alumni/ae were among the people working to keep patients safe in the midst of disaster. Read more.

Recent PA graduates Toni Milito, Matthew Muri, Jessica Oakes, and Jessica Spivey published an article in JAAPA with associate clinical professor Jean Covino DHSc, MPA, PA-C.

Jessica Oakes, RPA-C, (PA ‘12) is working part time as an allergy/asthma specialist in Rockland and part time at Ezras Choilim Health Center in Monroe, NY as an internal medicine physician assistant.

Matt Muri, RPA-C, (PA ‘12) is an Internal Medicine physician assistant at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.  (Matt has a BS in Biology from the University of Minnesota).

Toni-Marie Milito, RPA-C, (PA ‘12) is currently working part time at New York Presbyterian Cornell on the inpatient oncology service, and will soon be starting full time at Lenox Hill Hospital in obstetrics/gynecology.

Rinta Thomas, RN, BSN, MA, CNRN (MA, Nurse Education, ‘12) began teaching Nursing at the College of New Rochelle as Adjunct Faculty in Fall 2012.

Larissa Camano, FNP, RN (FNP ’12) says, “I just wanted to share the unveiling of the [Norwalk Community Health Center], a mobile health center that I will be working on.  It is a great opportunity and very exciting, so thank you again for all I have learned from you.”  Read more.

Karen Yancopoulos, RN (‘11), along with fellow alum Ted Bailly, won best poster at the National Gerontological Nursing Association (NGNA) conference in the fall of 2012.  Read more.

Stephen Ferrara, DNP, RN, FNP-BC, (BS ‘99; MS ‘00; DNP ‘11) was awarded the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) Award for Excellence for New York State at the 27th Annual National Conference held recently in Orlando, Florida. Read more.

Jason Slyer, DNP, RN, FNP-BC, (DNP ’11) has been awarded the title of Affiliate Lecturer in The Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI).  Read more.

Tara Herlocher, RN (‘10) participated in the VNS NY 2012 RN internship completion ceremony in October.  Read more.
