About the Program

The certificate program covers the essentials of bookkeeping for those who wish to pursue a career, entrepreneurs who want to manage their own books in a more professional manner, and individuals seeking to take the national exam and earn the coveted CB designation.  This course is taught using the AIPB Certified Bookkeeper Workbook Set complemented by the expertise of an experienced instructor.  The dynamic classroom experience will be augmented by standard practices, case studies, and real world examples. Please note that students who enroll in this program should have a basic knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping or general accounting.

Meet the Instructors

Kevin O'Meara, M.S., is currently the Director of Technology at Iona Preparatory School.   Professor O'Meara is a graduate of Iona College with a BBA in Accounting and a Masters of Science in Education. He has permanent certification in Mathematics 7-12 and Business Education and has taught Accounting for over 10 years.  Professor O'Meara will be teaching in Pace University Midtown for the Fall 2012.

Professor William Rundle has been a Business Education teacher for twenty-four years and has taught courses in various business areas including Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Personal Finance, and Business Law.  Professor Rundle has also served as faculty advisor the past twenty-one years for his school’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Chapter.  His students have participated in many local, regional, and state competitions over his career.  Professor Rundle will be teaching in Pace University Westchester for the Fall 2012.
