The College Board’s College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) has been the most widely trusted credit-by-examination program for over 40 years and is accepted by over 2,900 colleges and universities!  The CLEP Exam allows students of a wide range of ages and backgrounds to demonstrate their mastery of college-level material in introductory subjects and earn college credit.   With CLEP, you can earn college credit for by passing a 90-minute examination. CLEP examinations measure knowledge of the material usually covered in various classes during the first two years of college and are recommended by the American Council of Education (ACE).
 

About the CLEP Exam at Pace University
Pace University is proud to be an open test center and will test anyone who properly registers for the exam.   CLEP Exams are administered exclusively at Pace University's Midtown Center.  Please note that NO FOREIGN LANGUAGE CLEP EXAMS are administered at Pace University.  To schedule a Foreign Language CLEP Exam, please contact CLEP directly.


CLEP Exam Information --- Please read prior to scheduling your exam:

All CLEP applicants should check with their respective colleges / universities to ensure the eligibility of CLEP exam and scores.   Remember to ALWAYS meet with your advisor prior to registering for this exam.

  • If you are a student of Pace University, CLICK HERE for a list of CLEP credits awarded by Pace.
     
  • No Foreign Language CLEP Exams are administered at Pace University.  To schedule a Foreign Language CLEP Exam, please contact CLEP directly.
     
  • Please check with your home institution to ascertain whether the following exams will require a writing sample: Analysis and Interpretation of Literature and Freshman College Composition.  Please note that Pace University students will be required to complete a writing sample in order to qualify for CLEP credit.  This will be administered directly after you complete and successfully pass the CLEP computerized exam.
     
  • Please remember to bring TWO FORMS of photo id's (one must be Government issued) with you on the day of the exam.  NO EXCEPTIONS.  If you fail to comply with this requirement, you will not be admitted to take the exam and will forfeit your registration fee.
     
  • You will receive an unofficial transcript on the day of the exam.  The Official CLEP Transcript will be sent directly by CLEP to your home institution.
     
  • Both the $50 registration fee (payable to Pace University at the time of registration) and the $80 exam fee (payable to CLEP on the exam day) must be made by credit card.  Please note that this registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable 5 days prior to the exam date.
     
  • You will receive a detailed exam confirmation letter appr. 5 days prior to your scheduled CLEP Exam. 
     
  • Please note that the CLEP Exam is administered exclusively in Pace University's Midtown Center, located at 551 Fifth Avenue at 45th Street.
