Compensation Plans that Motivate

Course commences on Dec. 6, 2013!
Align your company’s direction with compensation plans that motivate starting with your president’s compensation philosophy. This course address the variable pay plans, salary structures, market pricing, exempt/non-exempt status, merit grids, incentive plans, guidelines and budgets, and auditing the dollar distribution (ROI). An overview of the Wage and Hour Law (FLSA), the new federal (Ledbetter Act) laws and Equal Pay Act, will also be covered. The benefit section addresses Affordable Care Act future healthcare costs, industry providers (Brokers, TPA, and Vendors) an overview of defined benefit/contribution ERISA laws, HSA’s and HRA’s, 401K/403b Savings Plan, and Roth IRA’s will also be covered.

Approved for 7 recertification credits towards PHR, SPHR, and GPHR recertification. Participants will receive a Pace University Certificate of Completion.

Meet the Instructor:
Kevin J. Murphy is currently founder and Managing Principal of KJM Associates International LLC, Human Resources consulting firm offering HR services to small businesses, start-ups and pre IPO firms in the northeast. “XL Thinking for Small Businesses”. Mr. Murphy brings 25+ years of Human Resources experience in the areas of organizational design, executive coaching/teaching and team integration, bench staffing, employee and labor relations, relocation, compensation strategies and benefit design for domestic and international companies.
Mr. Murphy received two undergraduate degrees from Pace University (New York) in Business Administration and Labor-Management Relations and completed the American Institute of Banking (AIB) certificate program. Mr. Murphy is a certified professional in human resources (PHR) and is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM). He is also affiliated with the New Jersey Human Resource Planning Group (NJHRPG), the National Foreign Trade Counsel of New York, the Tri State Relocation Services (TRS) and the Independent Power Producers Human Resources Association (IPPHR) as a former executive Board member.
