The Essentials of Human Resources Law Certificate Program is designed to teach you the complexities of employment law including new legislation and the legal 'hot spots' surrounding the EEO, FLSA, OSHA, EISA, FMLA, WARN, Employment at Will, wrongful discharge, and much more.  This course will give you the personal and professional education needed to deal with employee situations consistently and in conformity with the legal legislation.  

Participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from Pace University.  This class qualifies for 14 recertification credit hours towards PHR and SPHR recertification.

Greg Chartier, Ph.d., SPHR, GPHR,
is a well-known management consultant, educator and speaker.  His human resource practice is based on the Business Partner Model of Human Resources, which places its’ emphasis on outsourcing, the use of technology to gain efficiencies and the improvement of managerial skills.  Dr. Chartier is a thought provoking professional speaker whose wisdom and insights into management and leadership make him an electrifying speaker and seminar leader. His philosophy is simple --management is a skill and you can be a better manager by developing your skills.

Dr. Chartier has a BA from The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina, an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his Ph.D. in Human Resources Management from Madison University.  In addition, he is certified by the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and as a Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR), is a national member of SHRM and the Treasurer of the local SHRM chapter, the Westchester Human Resources Management Association.  He is a Board Member of the Business Council of Westchester, the Chair of the Human Resources Council and a member of the Executive Committee and is on the faculty of the Continuing and Professional Education Department at Pace University.
