These courses are designed to give you a comprehensive program of study in investigation, litigation, prevention, and reporting practices surrounding issues of fraud. Participants will receive a Certificate in Forensic Accounting. Each course qualifies for Continuing Professional Education credits (CPE). Prerequisites: Students must possess a business degree.

These courses are taught exclusively online and will feature Blackboard as the online learning portal.

- Detect, investigate, prevent, and report on fraud related matters
- Develop proactive fraud prevention programs
- Interpret financial statements and reconstruct financial data that have been tampered with or destroyed
- Learn risk assessment and the analysis and evaluation of internal control systems

Introduction to Forensic Accounting
This course provides an introduction to forensic accounting and financial statement fraud. It is designed to enhance your knowledge in detecting, investigating and reporting on management fraud. You will learn and understand the basic fraud triangle: opportunity, pressure, and rationalization. While traditional auditing courses focus on routine financial statement audits, forensic accounting is the application of accounting to legal matters and includes investigation and litigation support services. This course qualifies for 14 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits.

Fraud Prevention and Investigation
This course provides an understanding of the elements of antifraud techniques and aspects of fraud prevention. It covers risk assessment, the analysis of internal control system, and tax and valuation fraud situations. This course qualifies for 14 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits.

Forensic Accounting and Auditing Techniques
This course examines fraud and the control environment. It teaches the essential techniques of interviewing and obtaining evidential matter. You will study the specific methods required for auditing revenues, receivables, liabilities and related party transactions and will examine computer based auditing procedures. This course qualifies for 14 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits.

Legal Issues in Forensic Accounting
Fraud Examination introduces the legal principles and methodologies of fraud detection and deterrence useful for accountants and fraud examiners. This course focuses on the legal definitions of many types of frauds and how fraud examination is applied in both the civil and criminal contexts. Investigation methods, valuation models, reporting and communicating findings, and other litigation advisory services are also described. This course develops an understanding of the use of evidence in the court presentation of forensic accounting, fraud detection and valuation. This course qualifies for 14 Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits.
