How to Interview for Career Path Positions
This course will open with recruiting as a process not an activity. Your talent pipeline (recruiting) begins with aligning recruiting tactics by profiling, branding, sourcing and assessing candidates in the current (Gen X and Y) generations with the assumption they will be short term resources. Career Paths is the new direction for job offers today. This course will reveal the hidden secrets of nine (9) types of interviews performed by HR today from pre-screening, structured interviews through behavioral interviews techniques. Review the Federal Guidelines on interviewing and what you can and shouldn’t ask. The second part of this course focuses on training and coaching managers on how and what to say in interviews. Make offers that secure talent for the longer haul by incorporating career and succession models with career mapping. Find the right match to the job and fit to culture by partnering and managing each employee’s professional development while teaching managers to be leaders. The success of the organization depends on HR’s ability to screen, interview, and select the right talent.
Approved for 7 recertification credits towards PHR, SPHR, and GPHR recertification.
