Meet the Instructor

Professor Ray LaManna, SPHR is currently the owner of his own human resources consulting firm, specializing in employee relations, training and coaching.  Professor LaManna has extensive experience in the human resources field.  Prior to establishing his own firm, he held positions as Director of Human Resources at the Parish of Trinity Church on Wall Street and at Integrated Resources Inc., a diversified financial services firm, where he was responsible for all employee relations, recruitment and compensation functions. In addition, he has held HR positions at Wells Fargo Bank and JP Morgan Chase.

Professor LaManna holds advanced degrees in theology, psychology and adult education and is presently a doctoral candidate in the Adult and Continuing Education program at Teachers College/Columbia University.

Professor LaManna has also been actively involved in the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) as national chairperson of the Management Practices committee.  He has extensive experience as a guest speaker on HR and management issues and holds certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).  Professor LaManna has currently been asked to be a subject matter expert for the 2014 SHRM Learning System revisions to Module 1.
