Financial Planning is one of the fastest growing career paths and the CFP® certification is one of the most recognized and sought-after certifications. Pace University's Financial Planning Certificate Program is recognized by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. Our program meets the educational requirements set by the CFP Board and prepares students to take the national CFP® Certification Examination.

There are seven required courses within the program:  Fundamentals of Financial Planning; Insurance Planning; Investment Planning; Income Tax Planning; Retirement Planning & Employee Benefits; Estate Planning; and Capstone in Financial Planning.

Course Description

Because taxes affect virtually all financial (as well as personal) decisions, having timely knowledge of tax laws and issues greatly enhances your effectiveness as a planner and broadens your opportunities to assist clients. This course emphasizes the fundamentals of individual income taxation and also encompasses the tax implications of decisions on business entities and investments.
