Course Description

This comprehensive course covers the fundamentals of the real estate profession as needed to implement the required NY 75-hour curriculum requirement. The course introduces the students to everything from real estate law to property management --- everything future real estate professionals need to know to not only pass the state licensing exam, but successfully enter their new career! This course is NYS Approved.
Please note that this course is a self-study course that is delivered exclusively on the internet. All course materials are found online. Before you sign up for an online course, make sure you are comfortable using a computer.

NYS Requirements for Licensing as a SALESPERSON are:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be a United States citizen or be a legal, permanent resident
- Have no felony convictions (contact NY Department of State for clarification)
- Complete the 75-hour licensing course
- Pass the NY Department of State Salesperson licensing exam ($15)
- Have a sponsoring New York State Broker
- Apply for a Salesperson license ($50 for two years)

Meet the Instructor
Roberta Bangs is a licensed Associate Real Estate Broker. Ms. Bangs currently serves as Director of Training and Compliance for a large regional firm and has over 18 years of experience as a licensed NYS Real Estate instructor. Ms. Bangs has received the prestigious Certified Career Development Specialist Designation, holds the Accredited Buyer Representative, ABR Manager and GRI designations. She also serves on the committee appointed by the NYS Real Estate Board and the Department of State to re-write the Salesperson’s and Brokers Qualifying Course. Ms. Bangs is also a reviewer for Dearborn publications of Modern Real Estate Practice in NY, 10th Edition.

Course Requirements
1. No refunds will be issued once participation in the program commences. You will have ONE YEAR to complete the course from the course enrollment date (online and proctored final exam) without incurring any additional financial penalty.
2. You must complete 3,750 minutes of actual seat time and pass all module examinations with a passing score of 90. PLEASE NOTE: You must also complete the required seat time per unit. When the required seat time per unit is met, the time will go from RED to BLACK.

4. You will be required to take a proctored final examination at the course conclusion. This exam is required by NYS to complete the online course requirements. A passing score of 70 is required. Pace University Certificate of Completion will be issued at this time. It is recommended that upon successful completion of this course, you register for the NYS Licensing Exam.
