Course Description

Organizations are rapidly moving away from supporting the BlackBerry to supporting both iPhones and Android smartphones.  This major shift has caused consternation, or at least concern, for information technology departments, which must now quickly adapt.  This session will provide insight into the potential risks and vulnerabilities associated with Android and iOS (Apple) devices, and will provide recommendations for an effective security policy.  Additionally, this workshops will provide tips for the forensic handling and examination of Android devices during investigations.

You Will Learn To

You will be provided with an in-depth look at the most popular smart devices (smartphones and tablets), and you will learn about the different operating systems that run on these devices.  Moreover, the course will provide you with guidance on device deployment throughout the enterprise and guidelines for how these devices are managed to protect your organization's intellectual property.  Guidance about how mobile devices can be locked down by your IT administration will be provided.  The course will also outline the most widely-used mobile applications, the privileges associated with these applications, and how they may be putting your organization at risk.  Finally, if you suspect that an employee's behavior is unbecoming, then you will be educated about how to forensically obtain user activity from their corporate devices using professional forensic tools.  These topics and more will be covered in this comprehensive program.  No prior knowledge of technology is required.
