Sexual Assault Awareness Week schedule
It's Sexual Assault Awareness week and we have lot's going on in partnership with the Office of the Dean for Students, Housing/Res. Life-NY, the LGBTQA Center, the Affirmative Action office and Office of the District Attorney for Manhattan.
There will be an informational table with hand-outs, giveaways, and informational literature each day from 10am-2pm in One Pace Plaza.

Rape Culture discussion: Monday 4/15 at 5pm in the LGBTQA Center on 9thfloor, 41 Park Row.
Manhattan DA Sex Crimes Unit presentation: Tuesday 4/16 at 3pm in the 9thFloor Lounge at 41 Park Row.
Domestic Violence: Signs and Interventions—Wednesday 4/17 at 12pm in the 9thFloor Lounge at 41 Park Row.
Self-defense Class: Wednesday 4/17 at 7:30pm in the Fulton Street dorm lounge, 2ndFloor. Brian Evans is the instructor.
Take Back the Night march and speeches: Wednesday 4/17/13 at 9pm outside 1 Pace Plaza, AnnaMaria Santamaria, alum, is guest speaker.
Bystander Intervention Training: Thursday 4/18 at 3pm-4pm in the Dyson Conference room on the 16thFloor at 41 Park Row. Dr. Richard Shadick and Dr. Jennie Sharf are presenting.

Mondays 12:20-1:15 PM
SOCIAL SKILLS GROUP
This group is for students who feel that they have trouble fitting in, are looking to improve their communication skills, or feel anxious in social situations.
The group provides a confidential, safe place for students to learn about themselves and others while improving their social skills and interpersonal relationships.
Group Co-leaders: Elisse Geberth and Vartika Mutha, Psy.D.
Tuesdays 3:45-5 PM
DUE PROCESS: A LAW STUDENTS' GROUP
This is a group for law students struggling with managing the law school and life balance.
The group provides a safe place to discuss personal concerns as well as provide support.
Group Leader: Amanda Michael, PsyD
Wednesdays 12:45-2 PM
DISTRESS TOLERANCE AND COPING SKILLS GROUP
This is a structured group utilizing the coping skills training method adapted from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Participants have the opportunity to learn, develop, and implement new coping skills for emotional distress in a safe and confidential environment.

Wednesdays 5 - 6 PM
GROUNDWORK: AN ALCOHOL AND OTHER DRUG SUPPORT GROUP
A weekly support group for students who have or have had significant others in their lives who struggle with substance use problems.
Participants can talk about their own substance use, if this is something for which they also seek support.
This group offers a safe space for students to share their experiences, as well as provide and receive support.
Group Co-Leaders: KC Conley, Ph.D. and Susan Becker
Thursdays 3:40-4:50 PM
UNDERSTANDING SELF AND OTHERS: AN INTERPERSONAL PROCESS GROUP
This group provides support, encouragement, and feedback from other individuals in a safe and confidential environment.
The primary focus of therapy in the group is on the interactions amongst group members.
