Dr. Ament has been the Director of the Counseling Services since 1982. She specializes in helping people from multicultural backgrounds cope with stress caused by major life transitions. Dr. Ament is also an Adjunct Professor of Management in the Lubin School of Business. She is an avid skier and enjoys biking.

Mrs. Winters has been a member of the Counseling Center staff since 1984. She enjoys working with traditional and nontraditional age students who are struggling with the personal and academic demands of college. Additional areas of interest include alcohol and other drug programming and intervention. In her leisure time, she enjoys reading, swimming, and travel.

Dr. Michael is a recent addition to the Counseling Center staff, arriving with nine years of experience in college mental health. Her professional experience and training in clinical psychology are diverse. Current interests focus upon: clinical training of psychologists, helping people with emotional blocks to intimacy, relationship dissatisfaction and conflict, social phobia, depression, anxiety, loss, identity concerns, as well as specialized experience in group psychotherapy and psychotherapy with law students and attorneys. In her free time, Dr. Michael enjoys yoga and meditation, swimming, reading and exploring new places.

Dr. Lauren Saler began working at the Counseling Center in 1993. Her psychology training was broad and diverse with a research focus on loss and bereavement, in particular the death of a parent. Current areas of interest include helping others with relationship, self-esteem, and identity issues, as well as separation and individuation from family, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Dr. Saler also has a private psychotherapy practice nearby. In her free time, she likes to travel to new places, whether that be through a book, movie, or taking a trip.
Mariesa S. Cruz-Tillery, Ed.M, MA

Mariesa's psychology training is wide in range with a research focus on resilience, acculturation and identity development in first and second-generation immigrants and multicultural issues in counseling, training, and supervision. She has enjoyed working with a traditional and non-traditional college population for the past several years and approaches her work from a developmental perspective. Areas of interest include: women's issues, relationship and familial conflict, racial/ethnic identity, and coping with stress, anxiety and depression. In her spare time, Mariesa enjoys traveling, independent movies, a nice summer day at the beach and spending time with her husband and their three children--Dylan, Afarah and Priya.
Elisse M. Geberth

In this role, Elisse enjoys meeting with students, assisting in the arrangement of their disability accommodations, and advocating for them and educating the Pace Community on the needs of this student population. Elisse also plays a role in coordinating special projects for the Counseling Center including outreach programs. Elisse is an active member of the President's Commission for Diversity and the Westchester Diversity Team. In her free time she enjoys going to concerts, relaxing at the beach, and spending time with her husband and their animals.
Eugene J Lombardo, LCSW

Mr. Lombardo works to assist students in finding clinical resources within the community. He has worked in most facets of psychiatric and substance abuse settings and has developed an awareness of the various services and specialties throughout the area. A perennial networker, he is active in cultivating resources for Pace students and is well versed in the systems involved with finding and obtaining health care. In addition to his clinical background, he has worked in administrative, teaching and supervisory positions. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, reading, exercising and meditating.

Kathryn (KC) Conley, Ph.D.

Dr. Conley’s prior clinical experience has included work with college students, student-athletes, individuals struggling with alcohol- and drug-related problems, as well as veterans. Her research has focused on exploring the social norms approach as a way to reduce stigma associated with seeking help from a mental health professional among college students. In her spare time, Dr. Conley enjoys reading mystery novels and historical fiction, spending time with family and friends, exercising, watching terrible TV, and exploring Brooklyn.
Vartika Mutha, Psy.D.

Dr. Mutha has worked in outpatient and inpatient settings with adults challenged by multiple difficulties, such as severe and persistent mental illnesses, substance abuse, indigence, and legal involvements. Her research interests include the experience of couples therapy and the factors associated with bringing about a notable change in relationships. In her spare time, Dr. Mutha enjoys meditating, reading, taking long walks, and spending quality time with family and friends.
