The January 2014 Academic Portfolio Workshop (APW) will be held on the New york City campus from January 13-16, 2014 at 10:00 AM. This workshop allows faculty to work on one of three sections of their eDossier; teaching, research, or service.
For faculty who have never attended or completed a teaching portfolio workshop we recommend you work on the teaching section of your portfolio before your research or service sections. For faculty who have completed a teaching portfolio, you may decide which sections you would like to complete – research or service, not both.
This 4-day workshop is intensive. A first draft of your portfolio, emailed to your assigned mentor, is due to your assigned mentor no later than January 3rd, 2014, before the start date, January 13th, 2014, of the APW. There will also be a synchronous meeting of the all the registrants and the mentors. The purpose of this meeting is to review all dates, the process and what is due to the mentors. This meeting will be held on Tuesday, December 3rd, 2013 during Common Hour 3:30 - 4:25pm on the New York City campus at 1 Pace Plaza (E-323). If you cannot make that meeting in person we will be conducting a web conference. To be of the most benefit, please consider registering only if you are willing and able to make the commitment required.
The first day, January 13th at 10:00 AM, Julio Rodriguez will show you how to set up your ePortfolio to enable you to upload the portfolio you are working. Dossiers for tenure and/or promotion are now electronic (no longer paper) and the format Pace is currently using.
PLEASE NOTE: We cap the enrollment to 15 faculty. Your attendance at the pre-meeting on December 3rd will reconfirm your participation in the APW. While we understand when sudden emergencies occur precluding attendance, reconfirming your attendance will allow us to admit faculty on the waiting list with enough time to submit a first draft.
REGISTRATION IS AT CAPACITY. NEW REGISTRANTS WILL BE PLACED ON THE WAITING LIST.
