Streaming Media for Faculty

Pace University provides a Windows Streaming Media server for faculty storage of videos for course instruction. Streaming is a way of delivering media files so that the video or audio file is received incrementally rather than fully downloaded. This protects the file from being downloaded and re-published by users. Streaming allows for the storage of media files in a folder on Pace University Windows Media Streaming Server. Once a video(s) is uploaded to the Streaming Media server, a link is created. A link to these streaming files can be used for your course in Blackboard. This allows for faculty to use these links without fear of reaching their course storage quota in Blackboard. Consultation with CTLT is necessary with as much advance time as possible. For more information on incorporating streaming content or have any questions please contact CTLT as soon as possible.
