Is it worth it?
For all current students at Pace University, give this a try. Even if you’re still in high school, give this a try as well. When you have a moment, take a look around the room and I’m quite sure you will see at least one person texting away on their cell phone. He, she or they give occasional glances up to the professor signifying attention, but most people can tell when you are. Yes, some would say that they may be chatting about something important like setting up a study session (I doubt it), but is it really worth it?
Think about the tuition you pay for higher education and how texting can distract you from your lecture, study group, and even daily conversations. Texting while interacting with anybody, in my opinion, is a sign of loss of interest and boredom. It makes yourself look bad and even could cost your life if you take it to another level by texting while driving. ~ Chris
