Schedule Explorer Beta!

pace blogs
It’s that time of the year again…. Thinking about next semester and picking out your classes. Mid terms are just about over or completely over for some and, well, once that hits we know we have to think about the Spring or even January Intersession. As I was hunting around the Pace website I found in the Current Students section “Schedule Explorer Beta”. I thought why not. SO I clicked into it and logged in with my Portal ID. I was hoping that because I logged in with my Portal ID it would have a view of what I have and haven’t taken on my major course sheet. I guess I’ll have to wait for the Gamma version, hopefully.

But I continued to navigate through the scheduler racking my brain to remember what is left for me to take in my last semester here at Pace. Slight pause and sigh… carrying on. It is fairly easy to navigate through and find what you need. You start by selecting your registration term. Easy enough. I enjoyed the fact that you can search by Area of Knowledge. And with that AOK you can choose your campus. Point of Help: If there is a certain subject that you are looking for don’t count on it being in alphabetical order, click the word subject at the top of the list of all of the courses it will sort them out for you. You can also choose by subject and what college of study you are in. That one was a little bit more intense. You might want to stick with the subject search or the AOK.

But what do you think? Do we like the scheduler? Would you like to have your major course sheet on there for you to make sure that you're doing all you need? Personally I would because I can’t lose something that is generated on the computer, but give me a piece of paper and, well, that’s easy to lose. Let me know your thoughts and also don’t forget to leave your feedback directly on the Scheduler. There is a link to click.

I’ve included the link for everyone. https://appsrv.pace.edu/ScheduleExplorer/ And don’t forget just log on with your Portal user ID and password. HAPPY CLASS HUNTING :)
