Homecoming!!

pace blogsHomecoming!! Homecoming already came and went but this year it brought a new twist. I hope everyone had the chance to enjoy Midnight Madness with our Setter Basketball teams! A great kick off to the start of the season. By the way the Lady Setters are the new 3-point champions taking away the past few years repeat victories from the guys. Go Lady Setters! Great job goes out to our Pace Cheerleaders to who made that night great and I’m sure many of you caught some t-shirts and little T-Bone stuffed animals.

Not only did Pace put on a great Midnight Madness but the official kick-off to homecoming, the Pep Rally. Hope you all grabbed some free t-shirts, foam paws, and a pom pom or two! Not only did we meet the boys of the football team but the Homecoming court was on hand and our special performing guest Jeff Civillico. My apologies go out to the two helpers that Jeff called out from the audience; I guess you got to be the pun of his unicycle joke. But all in all the pep rally was a huge success. Whether you came out for the free t-shirts and food or just to support the teams, you were not let down. To cap off your evening was the fireworks display. I can honestly say that Pace outdid themselves this time. The fireworks were great!!! It was not some little sparkler fireworks that were lit on the ground, they lit up the sky and officially kicked off what was a great weekend to come.

As for our Pace Football team…… Well, we all had hope, we were all cheering as the last two minutes of the clock ticked down. Who would have thought that Bentley would pull off the upset. But they did. It was a hard hit for the team, especially since the hope of our first victory was in our grasp. Better luck next year Setters.

Now the first annual FABULOSITY! With a range of students past and present and professors as the judges this night was absolutely FABULOUS! Congratulations to our Fabulosity King and Queen. This event brought HUGE crowds and was an amazingly hilarious night!

After talking about all of the homecoming events I hope some of you realize how much there is out there to do. GET INVOLVED! Go to especially the free events (there’s always food) and take some trips! There are a ton of events happening in the next couple weeks for Halloween, make sure you take ADVANTAGE. College is only as good as what you put into it, so get out there and enjoy!
