Linda Herritt: Pieces of Hurt

Opening Reception: September 15, 5:00PM - 8:00PM
Linda Herritt uses bits of fabric, craft suppies, and hardware store goods to build text-based wall installations. Each piece is both an object on a wall and a poem, contrasting visual and material present wit the images mentally conjured by reading the text.

The Art of the Book
Careers in the Arts presents: Children's Book Illustration and Graphic Design with NY Times praised illustrator Madeline Valentine and new Pace faculty Brenda McManus. Panelists will discuss opportunities and challenges in the book design and illustration world.

Jen Schwarting Exhibition

Opening Reception: October 20, 5:00-8:00PM
Jen Schwarting takes a multi-disciplinary approach to art making, combining various forms of photography, painting, collage, and sculpture in her work. She uses a variety of materials including burlap, tempera paint, wood, and found images printed from the internet. The internet images depict anonymous young women in a compromised state, and are appropriated to engage contemporary issues around privacy and consent.
