Oblique Strategies
Peter Fingesten Gallery, Level B, One Pace Plaza

Reception: February 5, 5:00-8:00PM
Oblique Strategies is a set of cards created by Brian Eno and Peter Schmidt first published in 1975. Each card contains
a phrase or cryptic remark, which is meant to be used as a catalyst for generating or resolving work. Artists and architects
were invited to make new works, or alter old works, by responding to a randomly assigned phrase taken from the
deck of cards.

Participants include:

Will Pappenheimer
Peter Fingesten Gallery, Level B, One Pace Plaza

Reception: March 11, 5:00-7:00PM
Faculty artist, Will Pappenheimer, creates an exhibition placing virtual sculpture into the physical gallery space (and beyond) to effect the growing contemporary intersection of physical and networked space. The works are constructed in the medium of “augmented reality” and are visible through iPads, smart phones, video projectors and other media. The series of ephemeral sculptures exhibited will investigate notions of reflection as interstitial relationship and abstraction as overwhelming immersion.

  • Internships in museums, art galleries, and auction houses
  • Graduate programs and how to prepare for them
  • Cover letter and résumé writing
  • Job advertisements in the fields related to art history: teaching, publishing, work in museums, galleries, and auction houses
  • Services offered to students and alumni by the Pace Co-op and Career Services Department
