Dean Emeritus and founder, The Actors Studio Drama School

Pace University salutes James Lipton, Dean Emeritus of The Actors Studio Drama School (ASDS) at Pace and host of Inside the Actors Studio, and his colleagues at Bravo and In The Moment Productions on their 15th Emmy nomination in the Outstanding Nonfiction Series category. Inside the Actors Studio is presented in the Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts on the Pace University campus and serves as the Craft Seminar for MFA students in the ASDS MFA programs in Acting, Directing and Scriptwriting.

The Bravo television series is seen in 80 million homes across America and 125 countries around the world, creating the definitive theater and film archive of our time. More than 200 artists have shared their lives and careers on the Inside the Actors Studio stage, in a two-to three-hour interview conducted by James Lipton, and in the intimate classroom that follows, as the series’ guests pass the torch of their experience to our MFA candidates.
