
Pre-health Joint Degree Programs
Pace University’s Department of Biology and Health Sciences offers a number of programs that result in a joint undergraduate degree in Biology and Health Sciences and a professional degree. Students interested in any of these Programs should consult with the appropriate advisor during their first year in residence. Students must satisfy separate admission requirements for both the undergraduate and graduate parts of the program.
Students generally follow the standard BS in Biology curriculum; however, some programs may require coursework at Pace that is in addition to the regular BS degree program.
Occupational Therapy (NYC, PLV)
This program consists of three years of undergraduate study at Pace and two additional years at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Students who complete the program receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Health Sciences from Pace and a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Columbia.
Physical Therapy (NYC, PLV)
This program consists of four years of undergraduate study at Pace. Students will continue their studies at New York Medical College. Students who complete the program receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Pace.
Optometry (NYC, PLV)
This program consists of three years of undergraduate study at Pace (108 credits) and four additional years of study at the State University of New York (SUNY) College of Optometry. Students who complete the program receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Pace and a Doctor of Optometry degree (DO) from SUNY.
Podiatry (NYC, PLV)
This program consists of three years of undergraduate study at Pace (108 credits) and four additional years of study at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. Students who complete the program receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Pace and a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree (DPM) degree from New York College of Podiatric Medicine.
