Instructions for Presentations and Abstract Submissions
Papers may be submitted for presentation at the meeting either as a platform (oral) presentation or a poster presentation. The preference must be indicated on the abstract submission form. Specific information for each of these types of presentation is provided below. The deadline for submission of abstracts for both poster and platform presentations is Monday, April 2, 2012. Each abstract must be no more than 2300 characters, including punctuation and spaces. The abstract must include the name of all authors, title of presentation, and institution. Each presenter will be allotted a total of 18 minutes, allowing fifteen minutes for the presentation itself and another three minutes for questions and discussion. If you plan to use PowerPoint during your presentation, please be sure to bring a PC compatible memory stick or disc to your session. Submissions will not be uploaded prior to the meeting.
Easels, tape, and stick pins will be provided at the Conference site. Presenters are responsible for supplying their own support materials (e.g., foam boards) so that each poster can be displayed on an easel. While each poster may be as large as 4 feet wide by 4 feet high, due to the size of our our easels, a poster size no larger than 4 feet wide by 3 feet high is recommended. Please be sure to use a font size that is legible from a few feet away from the poster.
