Student Activities and Resources
Our department has an active chapter of PSI CHI, the honor society in psychology. This student-led group is very important part of the life of the department. Students sponsor colloquia and meetings on professional topics with faculty; invite outside speakers from various specialties in the field; do community service; and take part in the social life of the University. PSI CHI is open to all students but formal induction into the society, during the senior year, requires a strong grade point average both in psychology and in your overall record.
Every spring, seniors and juniors can participate in the annual Psychology Conference sponsored by the psychology department on our NYC campus. Student presentations are of professional quality. This is an opportunity to learn how to present papers in a professional and scientific setting.
