Undergraduate Programs

We offer four undergraduate Psychology Majors on Pace University’s Westchester Campus:

Psychology, BA (NYC, PLV): This a great general and traditional preparation for graduate school and a career in the field. You will have an intensive experience in such areas as experimental psychology (2 semesters), statistics, neurological and physiological bases of behavior, learning theory, the history of psychology and social psychology.

Applied Psychology and Human Relations, BA (NYC, PLV): In this major, we prepare you for work in counseling and clinical psychology careers. This is a practical program. You’ll learn skills you'll need to apply in such fields as counseling, education, and business. Courses include: psychological testing, personality, social psychology, introduction to counseling, group work and interviewing techniques, and practicum (2 semesters).

Biological Psychology, BA (PLV): This major, offered jointly with the Biology department, can be a strong preparation for medical school or for a career in neuroscience. It provides you with knowledge of the biological systems that underpin all psychological functions. Courses include genetics, neurobiology, biological psychology and experimental psychology. This major provides a strong foundation for graduate school and careers in clinical psychology, neuroscience, and other research oriented positions.

Personality and Social Psychology, BA (PLV): This is an innovative and exciting new major that is interdisciplinary and will prepare you for graduate school and a variety of careers including law, marketing, sport psychology, and health psychology.

We also offer Combined Degree programs, which you may apply for in the middle of your junior year.
