the History Major!

History is a major that prepares you for the analysis and writing required by the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT) and in law school itself. The Official Guide to US Law Schools suggests a broad liberal arts training is the best approach. History lets you explore many different issues and eras, working with authentic documents in class that sharpen your skills in oral and written argument. Choose from areas of interest that include history of the U.S. Constitution, African-Americans, women and ethnic Americans. Do your own research on legal topics such as reproductive rights, welfare reform, and race relations. The Pace
History department in NY has a lawyer on its full-time staff, who has
experience advising students and getting them into top-flight law schools.
Prof. Bill Offutt
is a member of the California and has a proven track record of getting Pace students into
good law schools. Pace even
offers a “3 + 3” plan that allows you to get your B.A. in three years, and
enter the Pace School of Law. |
