Native New Yorker and proud Irish American, Julia Judge fulfilled her dream with a career in theater and film with an eye toward Irish arts and culture. Her BA in English Literature paved the way.

During her time at Pace Julia was voted president of her class for two years, vice president for one year and was member of the Pace Senate. She is presently a member of the Artistic Staff of Lincoln Center Theater.

Her career began in the film industry working in publicity and then segued to assist Martin Scorsese for a number of years and worked on films including The Last Temptation of Christ and Goodfellas. During that time Julia also administered the Scorsese Film Archive.

She is the Associate Producer of Pete’s Meteor, a feature film shot in Ireland and starring Mike Myers.

She has served as a Programmer and Consultant for many film festivals including: Philadelphia Festival of World Cinema, Shorts International Film Festival, Irish Film Festival, NYU/Ireland House, and, Civita International Arts Festival and was a Creative Consultant for InDigEnt, a digital filmmaking collective.

As a lifelong patron of the New York Public Library system, she was happily the Associate Producer of the Reading Room Series at the Library for the Performing Arts. Julia is a voting member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) and is on the Advisory Board of the Irish Repertory Theater.

She is currently a correspondent for the award winning Irish blog, Vulgo.ie and last, but certainly not least, was one of the Irish Voice’s Most Influential Women of 2009.

Julia has a Bachelor of Arts in Literature from Pace University.
