About Pace Academy

“In a fast-changing world, the challenge is to be fearless about change.”

Pace Academy for Applied Environmental Studies is situated in the Dyson College Institute for Sustainability and the Environment, alongside the Dyson College Nature Center and Department of Environmental Studies and Science.

Mission of Pace Academy

To advance a mutually enhancing relationship between nature and society through the civic and scholarly involvement of the entire Pace community and through environmental leadership in higher education.

An Integrated Approach to Environmental Professionalism

Pace Academy's activities are both academic and experiential. They emphasize professional-level training and participation in the public policy arena built on a solid theoretical foundation. Our courses, academic initiatives and training programs stress civic engagement and advocacy techniques in common practice throughout the professions. Their mastery requires a command of multiple areas of knowledge, an informed awareness of local, national and world events, and a governing ethical framework.
