Margaret Fitzgerald

 

 

Associate Professor Margaret Fitzgerald is a professor of Criminal Justice and Sociology.  She received her Juries Doctorate from Western New England School of Law and her B.A. from the Catholic University of America in Speech and Drama. Prior to assuming an academic position, Professor Fitzgerald was a defense attorney, a probation officer, and a social worker.  She also helped to develop internships for several colleges (Smith, Mt. Holyoke, University of Massachusetts, and Amherst) in the Massachusetts area with the Probation Department.  Professor Fitzgerald was president of the Western Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children; served on the Board and President of the Amherst Resource Center and Board Member and Operator for the drug counseling hot-line. Currently she is the advisor for the Criminal Justice Society and Alpha Phi Sigma the Criminal Justice Honor Society at Pace University.  Professor Fitzgerald is co-sponsor for Alpha Phi the National Honor Society and is a member of the National Board.
