Dr. Marie Werner

 

 


Dr. Marie K. Werner possesses a BS in Education from the University of Connecticut, an MA in Education from New York University, an Ed.D. in Family and Community from Teachers College at Columbia, an MSW from Columbia University and an MA in Sociology with a concentration in Ethnicity and Race Relations from Fordham University.  In addition, Dr. Werner received training at the American Institute of Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis in New York City and the Center for Family Learning in New Rochelle, NY.  As a volunteer professional, Dr. Werner has worked at the Westchester County Office for Women and has created a series of school aged childcare programs in an Ardsley pilot program.  In addition to teaching at Pace University, Dr. Werner has taught at Hunter College, Bronx Community College and has taught at the high school level in Yonkers. Dr. Werner conducted her doctoral dissertation research on gender issues and has continued to pursue her research interests in her courses on gender, family, race and social work.
