Welcome to the MS in Publishing Publishing program offered on Pace University’s Midtown Campus in the Frederick French Building, at 551 Fifth Avenue, New York City.

Our program is designed to equip students  with comprehensive hands-on training in every aspect of book and magazine publishing and interactive media:  content creation and editing, marketing strategies, book and magazine production, financial applications, and and all aspects of digital publishing. The curriculum reflects the most current industry trends, allowing students to explore publishing innovations such as e-books, apps, mobile platforms, and developing and writing for blogs and websites.

Pace University’s MS in Publishing Program has gained the trust and respect of the publishing industry for one simple reason: we prepare tomorrow’s publishing leaders with the experiences and expertise for today’s top professionals.

The program’s Advisory Board is comprised of accomplished authors, editors, and senior executives from such publishers as McGraw-Hill Education, Harper Collins, Routledge/Taylor and Francis, Time Inc., and John Wiley & Sons. They take an active role in keeping our curriculum current with the needs of today’s industry.

Internships give students an opportunity to apply their knowledge in the real world.  In addition to interning at the big 5 book publishers and major magazine publishers such as Hearst and Conde Nast, our students intern at Literary Agencies, Online Magazines, Independent Presses, Digital Publishers and in a variety of companies that are flourishing in the digital age.

Our faculty is comprised of experienced publishing professionals who work closely with students, adding variety and excitement to classroom discussions with their own current perspectives on the industry. Our location in the heart of the publishing capital of the world enables us to recruit top experts from virtually every field of publishing as adjunct faculty members.
