
Biology Students to Give a Poster Presentation
Professor of biology Milton Schiffenbauer, PhD, and a team of student researchers will have a poster board presentation at this year’s 106 th General Meeting of the American Society of Microbiology in Orlando Florida, on May 22. The abstract title is: The Inactivation of Virus and Destruction of Bacteria and Fungi by Pomegranate Juice, Persimmons Extract and White Tea. Schiffenbauer and student teams have been studying the healthful benefits of black, green, and white tea, which have shown that certain teas stimulate the body’s immune system to fight disease.
