PATRICIA GLOSTER-COATES, PHD, RECEIVES KENAN AWARD
FOR TEACHING EXCELLENCE

Patricia Gloster-Coates, PhD, Chair and Associate Professor of the History Department, received the Kenan Award for Teaching Excellence in October. The Kenan Award is presented to faculty by their colleagues in recognition of classroom performance, understanding of students, high standards of intellectual integrity, and ability to serve as an inspiration.

Dr. Gloster-Coates has been teaching at Pace University since 1980. She has a PhD, an MPhil, an MIA, and a Certificate in African Studies from Columbia University; an MRE from Union Theological Seminary; and a BA from Oberlin College.
