– Charles North, Pace Poet-in-Residence
Charles North, Pace Poet-in-Residence, has been awarded a $25,000 grant from the Foundation for Contemporary Arts. One of only 12 Grants to Individuals awarded in 2008, the foundation provides unrestricted support to “encourage, sponsor and promote innovative work in the arts created and presented by individuals, groups, and organizations,” according to their Web site.
“Charles North’s contributions to Pace, New York, and American poetry are significant, and this recognition reflects well on his work. On behalf of the university community as a whole, I thank him for his dedication to excellence,” says Dyson College Dean Nira Herrmann, PhD.
