Dean Herrmann`s Message
– Dean Nira Herrmann, PhD
A distinguishing feature of Dyson College is the growth in enrollments in our professionally oriented majors. We pride ourselves on preparing our majors to succeed in their careers by combining professional preparation with a strong liberal arts foundation. As you see in this issue of the Dyson Digital Digest, our students are performing in national tours of major Broadway musicals, delivering papers on their joint research with faculty at prestigious conferences, exhibiting their artwork in Pace’s galleries, and receiving notable awards, such as the Lipper Scholarships.
In addition to these examples of the many distinguished efforts of our students, we offer many internships and co-op experiences as well as opportunities to serve the community through civic engagement placements. All of these experiences combine to prepare students for many different occupations as well as to go on to graduate or professional schools.
In previous issues of the Dyson Digital Digest, we have highlighted other student accomplishments–we invite you to visit our archives to get a complete picture of the range of activities and awards our students have garnered.
I want to extend my warmest congratulations to all of the students featured in this issue and to all of the students in Dyson who are working hard with their faculty to make the most of their opportunities at Pace.
